Student Devices Must Have Respondus App Installed
Before administering a Canvas Quiz using the Respondus Lockdown browser, You will need to verify that students have it installed on their devices. If not, they will need to download and install the Canvas Lockdown Browser from the Self-Service app.
Add Lockdown Requirements to Assessment
After clicking Lockdown Browser from the navigation menu on the left side of your screen, go to your quiz under the Dashboard tab. Select the dropdown arrow, click Settings, and choose "Require Respondus Lockdown Browser for this exam". At this point you can select the Advanced Settings checkbox and implement more rigid security settings if desired.
Similarly, you can remove the requirement for the lockdown browser, by selecting the dropdown arrow next to the quiz name and selecting "Don't require Respondus Lockdown Browser for this exam".
